Powerline Global Power Travel Voltage Converter Voltage Converter Question In France?

Voltage converter question in France? - powerline global power travel voltage converter

I have an energy converter Powerline world and used it to connect to a wall, here in Paris to my laptop power. I put the switch to 50 watts after 15 minutes was very hot and started to smell. Is there something wrong with the converter?

I am always careful about using this type of device with a different type of power source. More likely is that the power of the laptop is an inductive load for the converter, which is not overcome.

A proposal to review the performance of notebooks - most are these small rectangular blocks of plastic - and many of them work from 100 - 240V
If you are anything like the input: 100V - 240V - then you will not need the converter - the portable power source, are directly responsible for the French power - the others have found a switch to the 220 volt European youse taken directly - only necessary to one of the adapter that comes with the converter.

Be careful - good luck.

The voltage source is not an exact match with the converter. Its latest model specifications below.
